What is it?
Clear Guard film (aka "Clear Bra") is 8mil thick high-grade, optically clear urethane film.

Is there any special care for Clear Guard once it is installed?
Once installed, refrain from washing the vehicle for at least 48 hours. We suggest you keep the vehicle in the sun to help cure and dry the protective film. Washing after that time presents no problem, but be careful if using a pressure washer along leading edges of film. When waxing the vehicle, some wax may build up along the film edges. This wax build up can easily be removed with a soft toothbrush.

Will it harm the paint on my car?
No it will not. The film is UV stable and will allow UV light to pass through ensuring equal paint fade among covered and uncovered areas. If ever needed, the film is removable and wont cause any damage to your original factory finish.

What should I cover?
Area's prone to damage from road debris are the hood, bumper, fenders, and side-view mirrors. Other suseptable areas: door edges, door cups, a-pillars, wheel impact areas, rear bumper, rear bumper loading area, front of roof

When should I have Clear Guard applied to my car?
You can have Clear Guard applied at any time. The best time to have Clear Guard applied is when the car is new or has not sustained much road wear. We can come to any location of your choosing as long as it is clean, away from direct sunlight and wind. Also, several San Francisco Bay Area Dealerships can have Clear Guard applied at your request. Dealerships can offer shuttles and loaner cars while Clear Guard is being fitted to your vehicle.

Will Clear Guard ever turn yellow?
Clear Guard resists yellowing because the film is constructed of thermoplastic urethane, a tough, conformable material that is covered by a clear coat layer. The film contains UV protection to counteract harmful ultraviolet rays that can cause yellowing.

How long will the installation take to complete?
Most installations take between four to six hours in duration.
